it makes me wonder... again n again...
how did singapore manage to escape the tsunami...
when it originated from an island just to its west.......
didnt even feel any tremor....
thankfully my family are all around in singapore...
still cant believe singapore escape all those turmoil....
thanks to its neighbouring countries...
when i heard from a friend that there was a quake at indo..
i was like wishing that i was in indo so i can feel the quake...
its a rare thingy to have earth quake or any other natural disaster in south east asia...
and yet.. when my parents told me that the 8.9 ritcher scale quake took lives of more than 70k..
i was utterly shocked...
true that 8.9 is big in scale.. but.. if we didnt feel a thing in singapore..
the quake shouldnt go far... and sumatra.. surely there's no 70k of population there....
and yet.. as i watch the news... i was seriously shocked... horrified...
didnt know the quake actually caused the first ever tsunami in south east asia..
and it reaches all the way to south india....
makes me feel kinda freaky actually.....
in south east asia where we thought that these disasters wont ever occur....
and yet here it is....
one disasters be it natural or man made...
its freaking it out...
and makes me wonder...
what the heck is happening to the world...
where so much live has been taken in the past few years....
when we entered the new millenia... it seems that the world is in such a turmoil...
plus the fact that the quake n tsunami.. takes place on christmas day
during the holidae season....
freakes me out further
